You're Moving; Where?

That is the most frequent question I have been asked lately. You're moving? Where? The answers raise even more questions that we are more than happy to answer. You see, we've been called to the mission field. We are moving to New Zealand to work with Discover Church. Exciting? ... Yes! A Blessing... Yes! Completely Nuts? ...Yes! But I think when you hear our story (or read it) hopefully you will see what we saw... A Father who heals according to His purpose and not our understanding. In order to get the full feel, you have to go back with us a little over a year.
In July of 2009, John injured both of his feet so severely that we questioned possible amputation. As our Father took us down a path of very slow healing, He made us aware of our own faith and lack there of. It was a time of devotion and prayer unlike any we had seen before. The injury lead to months of doctor visits, two weeks in the hospital, surgery and seven casts. During the hospital stay, we felt John was given a second chance and we are determined to use that to the fullest. When everything looked the bleakest, we began seeing our amazing God working through it by giving John the healing we were praying for.
I think it took us getting to a place of total surrender before we could see His Glory shine! As we surrendered our all, we began seeking. It was through that search, and with His guidance, that we found our way to Discover Church and the many ways we can help in the changing of lives there.
